In this article we will teach you what 'Job Ownership' exactly means.
Every job in the YourDriverApp is linked to an owner. The ownership can either be private (a person, the user that created the job) or a group. This job ownership determines who is responsible for this job, and therefore who has rights to dispatch (assign a driver) or edit the job.
- Private owned jobs: only that particular user has rights to edit and dispatch the job.
- Job owned by a group: all admins or operators of the group can edit and dispatch the job.
Private owned jobs
It is important to know that ownership of a job is always set on 'Me' (Private) when u are using the free version of YourDriverApp. When you are using a Business Dispatcher subscription you always have the choice to set the ownership
About group ownership
Before you can assign a group as the owner for a job, the following criteria needs to be met:
- You need to be member with admin or operator rights to a group that has job ownership enabled.
- You need an active Business Dispatcher subscription.
When the criteria above are met, you will find an option "Ownership" in the Job create of edit screen and now you have the option to set the ownership.
For users that have setup a group for their business through which they will process all their jobs, we recommend to set this group as the default ownership when creating a new job from the jobs tab.
