In this article we will help you building your network of drivers by connecting with them!
As soon as you open YourDriverApp, the app will help you build your network by letting you differentiate your contact list, so that you only use YourDriverApp for business purposes.
Set your contact list and connect with your driver contacts
When you open the 'contacts' tab, on the bottom left of your screen, you will have the option to to distinguish between contacts by setting their 'contact type'.
When you click on this contact you will have the following options;
Connect with this driver - Get connected with all your drivers in your contact list by marking them as driver. When you both mark a contact as a driver you can share each others availability and start collaborating. (If your contact is not yet using YourDriverApp, here you can read how to invite him to get connected and start using YourDriverApp also)
Mark as a customer - By marking a contact as a customer you can make it easier to use his/her details in the future.
Mark as a private contact - By marking a contact as a private contact you can easily separate family and friends from business contacts.
By setting your contact type, you are letting the app differentiate who's a business contact or a personal contact in your contact list. After you have set your contact type, the system will know he/she is a driver, customer or other contact.
Connect directly with contacts from your contact list who are already using YourDriverApp
To make sure, you know immediately who's already using YourDriverApp, the app shows you those contacts.
After connecting to this driver, he/she will show in the "Driver" subtab in the "Contacts" tab.
When connected, you will be able to see each others availability, status and location on the map when on shift, which will be useful when you want to dispatch a job to someone.
